Split Rock

Right in Lake Harmony, Split Rock is the natural rock formation that gave the well-known Split Rock resort its name. Local legend credits the glaciers that once covered this part of the Poconos with cracking the sandstone in two.

It's free to visit and only takes around 15 minutes, with stairs leading up to the top. That makes it an easy add-on to a trip to the shops or a drive around the lake, and a fun quick stop for kids.

The steps can be slippery when wet or icy, so take care in winter and keep a close eye on little ones.
