Lake Harmony vacation rental FAQ: the homes
How many people can stay?
Each home sleeps 16 or more guests across eight bedrooms, with 4.5 bathrooms. The Mountain Getaway has 12 beds and the Epic Lake Harmony Group Getaway has 14, including two bunk rooms. For 30 or more guests, you can ask about booking both homes together (32+ guests across 16 bedrooms).
Where exactly are the homes?
Both homes are in Lake Harmony, in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. That’s around two hours from New York City and under two hours from Philadelphia. You’ll get full directions once you book.
Location and activities
How close are the ski slopes?
Very close. Big Boulder is about 5 minutes from both homes, with Jack Frost 10 to 12 minutes away. See the Jack Frost Big Boulder website for lift tickets and conditions. Ski season typically runs from mid-December into March, depending on conditions.
Is there lake access?
Yes, lake access is included at both homes, so summer days by Lake Harmony are part of the deal.
What amenities are included?
Both homes have a hot tub, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a game room with pool, foosball, an 8-person poker table and a karaoke stage. The Mountain Getaway also has a golf simulator, an outdoor bar on the deck and a dining table that seats 20.
Which home should we choose?
As a rule of thumb, the Epic Lake Harmony Group Getaway is best for families thanks to its bunk rooms, and the Mountain Getaway is best for celebrations. Not sure? Ask Eric to talk it through.
During your stay
Can we cook for the whole group?
Absolutely. Big home-cooked meals are one of the best parts of a group stay. Many guests do a grocery run on the way in. If you need to know about specific kitchen equipment, just ask before you arrive.
What about check-in, parking and house rules?
You’ll receive everything you need, including check-in details and house information, after booking. If you have questions about parking for several cars, pets or anything else, please ask before you book so we can give you an accurate answer.
Who do we contact during our stay?
Eric, the owner. He set up these homes himself and is usually just a text away, before and during your stay.
Can we plan something special?
Of course. Planning a birthday, anniversary or reunion? Tell Eric what would make the weekend unforgettable.
What’s there to do nearby?
Plenty. Skiing and snow tubing in winter, lake days and rafting in summer, fall foliage, hiking at Hickory Run State Park and day trips to historic Jim Thorpe. Pocono Raceway is also a short drive away.
How far ahead should we book?
For holiday weeks, ski weekends and summer, book as early as you can. Homes for groups this size are limited and popular dates go first.
Can we book both homes?
Yes. For groups of 30 or more, ask about booking the Mountain Getaway and the Epic Lake Harmony Group Getaway together.
