Hot Tub and Game Room Evenings at Our Lake Harmony Homes

Friends relaxing in an outdoor hot tub in the snow, like the hot tub and game room evenings at our Lake Harmony homes

The hot tub and game room are where our guests’ best memories are made. Ask anyone about their favorite moment from a stay in Lake Harmony, and it’s rarely the moment they hit the slopes or the lake. It’s usually what happened afterwards, when everyone was back together under one roof. When Eric set up our homes, he planned the evenings just as carefully as the days.

The hot tub under the trees

There’s nothing quite like stepping out of ski boots and straight into hot water, with the cold air on your face and the trees overhead. In summer, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day by the lake. Either way, it’s where the best conversations of the trip seem to happen.

The fire pit

Out back, Adirondack chairs circle the fire pit, ready for s’mores, stories and stargazing. It’s the natural gathering point on mild evenings, and the kind of spot where a quick nightcap turns into hours.

Hot tub and game room: a proper game room

When you’re traveling with 16 people, you need more than a deck of cards. Our game rooms are made for big groups:

  • Pool table for friendly (or not-so-friendly) rivalries
  • Foosball, always the kids’ favorite, and usually the adults’ too
  • An 8-person poker table for a late-night tournament
  • A karaoke stage, because every group has at least one secret superstar

At the Mountain Getaway, there’s also a golf simulator, which turns into a running competition by the second night. Add the outdoor bar on the deck and you’ve got the makings of a great party. For nights out instead, the Pocono Mountains visitor bureau lists local events.

Something for every energy level

The beauty of a big home is that everyone can do their own thing and still be together. Some guests sink into the hot tub, some battle it out at the pool table, and others curl up by the stone fireplace (or in one of the massage chairs Eric picked out himself). Nobody has to agree on one plan.

Why it matters

Hotel stays scatter a group across corridors and floors. In our Lake Harmony homes, the fun doesn’t end when dinner does. That’s exactly the point.

Hot tub and game room etiquette for big groups

With 16 or more people sharing the space, a few simple habits keep evenings fun for everyone:

  • Take turns. Run a sign-up sheet for the golf simulator or the pool table so nobody hogs it.
  • Keep it safe. Kids should always have an adult with them in the hot tub, and nobody should soak for too long after drinks.
  • Mind the neighbors. Keep outdoor noise down late at night so everyone sleeps well.
  • Put the cover back on. It keeps the hot tub warm and clean for the next round.

Make it an event

Some groups plan a karaoke night with costumes, run a poker tournament with a small prize or hold a golf simulator championship over the weekend. Give it a name and a scoreboard and watch the competition build. With a hot tub and game room this good, the evenings become the highlight of the trip.

Quiet corners, too

Not everyone wants a party every night. The stone fireplace, the massage chairs and plenty of comfortable seating give quieter guests a place to read, chat or doze while the game room carries on downstairs. Big homes are about choice, and that’s what makes evenings here work for every age. Whether your crew is three generations of one family or a dozen old college friends, there’s a spot for everyone to unwind in their own way.
